We are delighted to welcome back a familiar face to the Healthcare Experience Matters Podcast this week! Dr. Nita A. Magee, PhD, RN, MHNP-BC, returns for her third appearance on our show and a crucial talk about managing patients’ expectations.

Dr. Magee is a mental health nurse practitioner with the G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery V.A. Medical Center in Jackson, Miss. With more than 30 total years of experience in healthcare, she has been with her institution for the last 26 years.

She has also taught nursing and healthcare administrative programs with the University of Phoenix for the past two decades. As she mentioned at the outset of today’s interview, she now works with a substance abuse residential treatment program in addition to her various professional responsibilities.
